Dr Thandeka Ngcana is not your average doctor, she grew up in a middle class home and was taught the values of hard work from a young age.
Growing up in Sebokeng in the Vaal, she always knew that she had a significant purpose in life. She decided to follow her dreams all the way to qualifying in a Post graduate Diploma in Child HealthMMed Paediatrics student from Wits FCPaed(SA) and is soon to be a fellow in Paediatrics Haematology, Oncology and Bone marrow transplant at BCCH in Vancouver, BC beginning 1 July 2017.
Thandeka has managed to achieve all this by the age of 32, while also being a mother.
When asked what business she is in Thandeka always responds with a cause that is very close to her heart: “I’m in the business of branding ME with the hope that one girl child will be inspired to dream infinitely. I remain calm in the inner knowing that great things are being prepared for me”
Thandeka is not just a doctor, but an advocate for the empowerment of the girl child.
AWM would like to congratulate our Woman Crush Wednesday Dr Thandeka Vuyiswa
